★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Three star rating is based on Tokyo/Japanese standards. What I mean by that is DK House seems to meet the needs, and at the price point, it's residents are looking for.
The House has quite a number of rooms, separated by gender to minimize co-mingling in sleeping spaces. The rooms themselves are minimal: twin bed set, standing closet, desk & chair, dorm room-type fridge, and bank of windows.
Showers are available only on the first floor, while there are communal bathrooms at both ends of each floor. The first floor also includes a sauna (which I never tried). There are a few pieces of workout equipment randomly strewn about the first floor (with a bench situated in a stairwell).
I'm told that the common space on the first floor includes wifi, but I never tried it. Entry is key coded, and there's a small children's park across the street.
DK House is about a 10 - 15 minute walk from the Nishikawaguchi JR line stop.
