しかし目の前を走る奥羽本線は、ある程度
列車が運転(山形新幹線は９往復)されて
おり、そんなに寂しくは感じない?
(奥羽本線側にはホームなし)
以前?新庄～南新庄間にてＳＬと『つばさ』
の並走運転が行われた事があった??

陸羽東線のみ停車します。
It is not a station on the Ou Line.
Only the Rikuuto Line stops.

地図では奥羽本線の駅でもあるように見えますが、線路が並走しているもののホームはありません。
奥羽本線の側は山形新幹線つばさも走りますが、当然ながら通過していくのみです。
It is a station on the Rikuu Higashi Line next to Shinjo Station.
