R49が目の前を通っているが、ほぼ集落の中の駅である SLばんえつ物語が停車するが、これといった何かはない
駅は国鉄時代の近代化駅舎のようなコンクリート造り、棒線化され今は無人駅となっている
R49まで少し歩くとコンビニ(デイリーヤマザキ)あり タクシー会社も至近 三川温泉へ行く際などに
