★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty nice little restaurant on the 3rd floor in Matsumoto Station. They have a nice little menu to choose from, English Menu as well for those who need it. Their food portions are pretty big, so be careful when ordering the regular size!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought a nice, hefty grilled chicken bento. It was a big fat piece of meat, to be sure. Convenient place to grab a bite before catching the train or your bus. Bentos prepared on-order and thus served all day.

Matsumoto is famous for “Zangiyaki”(山賊焼き) and fried chicken. This place can be a good access to these crusine.
The taste is far different from American fried chicken, coming up with soy sauce-based seasoning and pepper. I can tell you that the Japanese fried chicken here is the largest I have ever seen.
Specially recommend the “Tori-wasabi” (shredded chicken with wasabi and soy sauce). This is a gem on the menu and it makes a great mate with beer!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enjoying a local cuisine, so-called “Sanzoku Yaki” (chicken schnitzel with special sauce,mustard and vinegar) and chicken ramen at the Matsumoto Kara-age Center in the Station complex, MIDORI.
I was so full I can hardly move.
Yummy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We wanted to try the Sanzoku Yaki fried chicken, which is famous in Matsumoto, and we found such nice store right above the station. The volume of the set meal that they have is so large and so filling. And their Sanzoku Yaki fried chicken is very crispy and delicious too. Great value and highly recommended.
