番所跡から道を戻る方向。台地先端は堀と土塁で仕切られた方形の居館跡となっている。ただそこまでの防御施設が無いのが気になる。番所を守る施設の一つだったのだろうか。それとももっと古い時代の街道を警戒する施設だったのだろうか。

The direction to go back from the bansho ruins. The tip of the plateau is the remains of a square residence separated by a moat and earthworks. However, I am worried that there is no such defense facility. Was it one of the facilities to protect the guard station? Or was it a facility that guarded the roads of older times?
