★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In terms of beach this place in the Fukui region isn't my first pick at all... the beach is nice and the surrounding pine forest is beautiful but it's located in a bay so you have no real ocean view but instead you can look at a nuclear power plant which is so bad in my opinion. Again being in a bay means the water isn't as clean as an beach straight on the ocean and also the water isn't that nice blue/turquoise that you usually expect from a beach in nihonkaii. Within 1h20 drive you could be at the beautiful Wakasa Wada beach or even with a shorter drive be on a way nice beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Superb beach with trees for shade. My son enjoyed playing in the water and digging in the sand. There were many jellyfish when I was there, but it was after a typhoon, so it might not be normal. I was surprised to find such a nice beach so close to Nagoya!
