★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner is extremely kind and hospitable! After looking for dinner past the closing time of most restaurants we received a very warm welcome here. It is small and cosy, has a cute interior and had a wonderful classical music running in the background.
We ordered a rice curry which was followed by a homemade tea compliments of the owner. The meal was delightful and we gladly accepted the owner’s (Tekishi) gentle invitation for breakfast the next morning...
Breakfast the next day was wonderful and again accompanied by a warm welcome from the owner. The owner offered us creamy eggsalade sandwich, slices of toasted (homemade!) bread and a delicately brewed coffee and tea.
The hospitality Tekishi almost made it feel like a personal visit and will be very memorable for our stay here at Itsukishima.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very nice cafe and Matsumoto San the owner and barista is so friendly, lively and welcoming.
We came here for breakfast and had the morning set which is affordable and delicious: Boiled egg , cheese toast (perfectly toasted) and coffee/tea/ juice.
Oh and I almost forgot about the coffee setup: a very interesting syphon style.
Added bonus is that Matsumoto San speaks excellent English.
