It's been 11 years since the house was completed in December of this year. I met Mr. Moriya, had him design it, had a lot of meetings, watched the construction started and the house was built many times, and I really remember that the house was completed. A lot of stories other than home I really enjoyed being able to do it. We are ordinary double-income couples who are never wealthy. When it comes to designing by an architect, I think the thing that comes to mind is money. We also went to consult with Mr. Moriya, thinking that more than half would be impossible. I decided to ask Mr. Moriya because he told me that it was my job to do something about Mr. Moriya's money at that time. In the future, when the children become independent couples, our dream is to have Mr. Moriya design a small, fashionable, cool, low-cost house for Heike ❗️.

A renovated house designed by Atelier m was broadcast on a program called "Junintoiro", and it was an interesting building, so I registered the website of Atelier m, which was on the credit at the end of the program. About a year later, I emailed and visited the office with a plan to fully renovate my home. Of course, I had read a lot of the Getsumoku diary and the site diary that had been written for many years, so I imagined that I was a reliable architect. In the case of renovation, I heard that there are many cases where the amount is increased by 10 to 20% from the initial estimated amount, so when I talked about that anxiety, Mr. Moriya once said, "I have never increased the amount." I was struck. After a year of meetings, the final drawing was finished and construction began. Due to the full renovation, there are quite a few uncertainties, but each time we had a thorough on-site meeting with Mr. Moriya and the on-site director, he came up with the answer that seems to be the best. And I am grateful that I started living in a new house five months later as planned and created a more comfortable space than I expected. Also, after living for the next year, I feel more familiar and comfortable with us as residents. And I have a one-year inspection at the end of this month, but I'm not particularly dissatisfied, so it seems that it will be exciting with a story different from renovation as usual with Mr. Moriya who is the same generation (laugh)

Impressions after 4 years I requested a newly built rental condominium as an owner. It is a 5-minute walk to the station and close to convenience stores and banks, and the conditions are good, but the surrounding area is a place where many rental condominiums are built, from singles to families. First of all, considering profits, I thought it was important to have a short vacancy period and a low eviction rate. To that end, we decided to build an apartment where residents can live comfortably and with peace of mind. I consulted with several real estate investment companies, but since it is important to reduce the initial investment, I was offered a plan that closely resembles a rental condominium that is often found around wooden and steel structures. When I consulted with my brother who is an architect, he said, "For an apartment that makes you want to live permanently." The exterior is reinforced concrete, sturdy, and has high sound insulation from the next room and the upper and lower floors, so we received a proposal for a building with a very strong presence. I felt that the appearance was perfect for the concept of "I want to live permanently". The problem is that the initial cost is high. When the rent rises, there is concern that residents will gather. I was worried, but I decided to bet on the building and my brother I would like to live in. I think that we were able to exceed expectations by repeating meetings, creating a comfortable space, and paying attention to the cost balance. The appearance of the RC and the staircase are especially beautiful. The ceilings in each room are high, so I'm sure you will like it. By making the structure RC structure, the rent setting will be a little higher than the surrounding area. Even so, some people requested to move in even before the completion. It was always full by the time the year changed, and it has been full since then. I asked him what he thought when he met the residents. ・ Because it is an RC house, it is safe against earthquakes. And it was quiet without hearing the sound of the next room. (I lived in the neighborhood, but I moved because of the noise.) ・ Because the eaves are deep, strong light does not enter in summer. In winter, the light goes all the way in. ・ Since there are windows in the north and south, the wind blows through and it feels good. ・ Thanks to the windows in the bathroom, the humidity does not stay. ・ The high ceiling feels good. ・ I want to live forever if possible. I'm proud to hear these voices. I am grateful to my brother for designing the building that the owner himself can love.

Before arriving at the atelier m, my family talked to several architectural firms, but the architectural firm that appeared on a certain TV treated them roughly, and other offices were giving up on schedule difficulties. I did. I happened to ask the atelier m that I casually saw at the bookstore for an architectural consultation by e-mail, thinking that if this didn't work, I would have to build it with a house maker. Since I was a "takumi" of a certain program, I felt that it would be difficult at home, but I imagined a happy future someday and talked about various things with the concept of "a house where my grandchildren come to play". Through that discussion, I felt that I was a really friendly person, and I was attracted to humanity and led to a request. At first, I was worried that if I asked the design office, the budget would be exceeded and it would be difficult to build, but Mr. Moriya said, "Let's give as much hope as possible and consider the balance between the necessity in life and the budget. ".", Which made me feel better. Therefore, I was worried that it would be difficult to build up from scratch, but I remember that the meeting was fun and proceeded in a blink of an eye. In the process of building the house, the budget was tight, but I am keenly aware that it was good to ask Mr. Moriya because I was able to stand with the contractor and get the request of the client. In addition, the office staff also felt reassured that their footwork was light and they could easily talk to them even when they were busy. It's been eight years since I designed it, but when I saw the appearance of a stranger who was taking a walk, I was happy to say, "It's a fashionable house." Naturally, the interior matches the furniture such as Eames and Wegner, and I am satisfied. It is a fun memory to be able to work together to create a work called a house while having constructive discussions with Mr. Moriya, who was once again attracted to humanity and design.

I was worried about searching for various things in my own way, but I asked Mr. Moriya to make a nice proposal to blow away the smoky feeling and ask Mr. Moriya to design it. Even now, when I look at my house, I think it's cool again. Also when a child's friend comes to play "It's too nice ..." "This isn't normal ..." It was impressive that I went home. It's been about 6 years now, but here are some of my impressions. ● I thought it was cool and wanted a square-shaped house, but when I lived in it, I felt that I realized the advantages of the traditional Japanese house with a triangular roof and a building with eaves. If it's a square, the rain will be transmitted directly to the window glass, and it's easy to make a popping sound of rain. There are times when I think. ● The size of the room (floor plan) should have been increased a little more. .. .. I think. I'm going to get a mortgage anyway (laughs) Please do not regret it. ● I used a unit bath as the bath, but Mr. Moriya recommended that it be a "installed, deferred bath". However, I was so busy with cost reduction that I decided to use the unit bath without thinking at all. To be honest, I didn't really understand the difference between the installed bath and the unit bath at that time. Now, when you think about it, you can understand the meaning of "installed bath". I am now aware that the "treading feeling" of the floor of the unit bath and the "treading feeling" of the bathhouse of the hot spring inn are completely different (including doors and bathtubs). We recommend that you consider a stationary and stationary bath once. ● There is enough space for BBQ in the garden, and it is a natural lawn. It's nice, but it's still hard to maintain. You need to be prepared. Six years later, I've managed to maintain it, though it's bald. Finally, please ask Mr. Moriya for a variety of consultations. This time, I had the experience of building a house for the first time. When I recall those days, I think I was very nervous. I think you should say once, "Isn't it unreasonable if I ask you like this now?" I think it's actually very difficult to make a house look nice for a long time. I am grateful to Mr. Moriya for designing such a house.

Up until now, I have had the opportunity to be involved in architecture three times in total, such as at home and when the clinic (tenant) was opened, and I have been with different designers, but I have never met the one I would like to ask again next time. And this time, because of the relocation and new construction of the clinic, when I was looking for an architect on the net, I noticed the "Getsumoku Diary" of Atelier m. For many years, it's not easy to keep a diary twice a week, every week. As I read back to the past description, the content is also witty and the personality is oozing out. I contacted him immediately and visited the office. At the time of my first visit, I was asked why I contacted Atelier m from among many architects, and answered, "The personality that can be seen from the continuity and content of the Getsumoku diary," and "It's not a work ..." I remember being disappointed. (Of course, the work was also attractive!) At the regular meetings after that, not only about architecture, but also about my background, current situation, work, home, hobbies and tastes, etc., and this is reflected as the background of the design. We had dozens of meetings, including offices and sites, for more than 200 hours, but it was a fun time in no time. At the time of designing, I was asked to propose various plans and ideas with this hope first, and also told me what I could not do. Also, regarding costs, we can receive advice from various angles regarding adjustment plans such as equipment prices and grades, and have them think together. At the time of construction, various problems will arise at the site, but if you take appropriate measures, not only special design and construction management related to medical equipment, but also details such as lighting switches and outlet positions will be done at the site. You can decide based on the advice. The clinic has been successfully reopened and has been relocated for more than two years now, but the bright and open clinic has been very well received by patients and staff. In addition, I am very satisfied with the fact that I did not have any problems or thought "I should have done this" even after the start of medical treatment. Currently, we are planning a full renovation of our house, and we are asking Mr. Moriya to design it again, and we are looking forward to seeing what kind of house we can build together.
