木造2階建てのアーチ形の玄関、階段、窓の作り等ルネッサンス風の洋館です。端正で気品があり貴婦人のイメージにぴったりです。
どこかしら(仁風閣)の雰囲気によく似ています。とても農業学校の校舎とは思えない、明るく開放的な西欧米の文化、技術を取り入れていこうとする当時の日本の姿勢が垣間見得る洋館です。
1921年(大正10年)鳥取高等農業学校(鳥取大学農学部の前身)の校舎として建設され、1966年(昭和41年)に鳥取市湖山に移転するまでの45年間使われました。その玄関一部が今こうして市の史跡として残されています。

This is a Renaissance-style Western-style building with a wooden two-story arched entrance, stairs and windows. Neat and elegant, perfect for the lady's image.
It is very similar to the atmosphere of somewhere (Nikakaku). A Western-style building with a glimpse of the attitude of Japan at the time to incorporate the culture and technology of the bright and open Western Europe and the United States.
It was built as a school building of Tottori Higher Agricultural School (the predecessor of Tottori University Faculty of Agriculture) in 1921 and was used for 45 years until it moved to Koyama, Tottori City in 1966. Part of the entrance is now left as a historical site of the city.
