The Nakayama mansion remains well with "Well" named after the Meiji Emperor's shrine and Emperor Meiji's youngest name "Yuugi".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 明治天皇の外祖父にあたる中山忠能邸宅跡ですが、京都生まれの最後の明治天皇が誕生され幼少期に過ごされた所でも有ります。産屋や幼名の祐宮にちなんだ井戸が残されていて垣根越しですが見学できました。
It is the ruins of Nakayama Tadanou's house, the grandfather of Emperor Meiji, but also the place where the last Emperor Meiji was born in Kyoto and was spent in his childhood. There were wells associated with the birthplace and the young name Yunomiya.

It seems to be a place related to the childhood of Emperor Meiji. I think the well must be famous water, but I can't confirm it because I can't enter it.

The ruins of the mansion of Tadayasu Nakayama, his grandfather who sent his childhood to Emperor Meiji. There is a maternity store, a monument, and a well called "Yui". However, it is surrounded by fences and there is no choice but to peep through the gap.
