★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 「喜びはともにあること」を教育理念に掲げ、十分に社会参加できるような環境になかった障害のある人たちが積極的に社会に参加・貢献していくことができる「共生社会」をつくっていくため、教育活動を進めています。生活に生きる力をはぐくむと同時に、地域の方々の御理解と御協力を得て、地域貢献のできる地域社会と協働した教育活動（「地域学習」）にも挑戦し続けてきました。地域の人材や資源を活用したり連携を図ったりしながら、めざす教育を社会との連携と協働により実現していく「社会に開かれた教育課程」の実現をめざしています。
障害の有無によらず、一人一人の可能性を最大限に伸ばし豊かな人生を創ることができるよう、また社会の担い手として活躍できるよう、教職員一丸となって一層努力をしております。
また、京都府の特別支援教育の拠点である「京都府スーパーサポートセンター」を設置。地元のみならず京都府内のすべての障害のある子どもたちが、健やかに学び生活できるよう、引き続き取組を進めていきたいと思います。
