★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 10年以上前の就活の話で恐縮です。OB訪問をセッティング後、選考でご縁がなかったとのことで、訪問のキャンセルのメールをいただいたのですが、こちらの不手際でメールに気付かず当初の予定通りに訪問してしまいました。
OBの方はそのことには触れずに会社や仕事のことを丁寧に説明いただき、帰宅後お礼のメールをしようとしたところで、訪問自体がキャンセルされていたことに気付きました。本来ならすぐお詫びを入れなければいけないところ、何も知らずに訪問した自分が恥ずかしかったのと、お詫びの文面がうまく作れずそのままとなってしまいました。
この場を借りて縁がなかったにも関わらず、お忙しい中、丁寧な対応をしていただいたOBの方にお礼とお詫びを申し上げます。
I'm sorry to talk about job hunting more than 10 years ago. After setting up the OB visit, I received an email to cancel the visit because there was no connection in the selection, but due to this inadequacy, I did not notice the email and visited as originally planned.
The alumnus explained the company and work carefully without mentioning it, and when I tried to send a thank-you email after returning home, I noticed that the visit itself was canceled. I had to apologize immediately, but I was embarrassed when I visited without knowing anything, and I couldn't make the apology well and left it as it was.
We would like to express our gratitude and apology to the alumni who took this opportunity to respond politely while they were busy.
