From the Nara period to the early Kamakura period, more than 100 monks were operating around Mt. Kurihara, but they were destroyed by fire. Currently, stone Buddhas and tombstones in the mountains are gathered on the hillside slope.

Although it is a little deep in the mountains, open the gate and proceed along the promenade. Sometimes there is a hunter. Don't be shot!

It takes about 20 minutes to climb the mountain to the ruins of Kurihara Kujubo. There was a vermin fence at the entrance of the mountain road, and there was a sign saying that you should always close the gate before climbing the mountain. I climbed with sandals so I slipped in places, but I think it's better to prepare for mountain climbing ? I stopped by the ruins of Kurihara Kujubo on the way to the ruins of Chosokabe Morichika. There were countless five-wheeled towers lined up in the ruins, and there was a guide board in front of them. According to the information board Apparently, a long time ago, there were more than a hundred monks around Mt. Kurihara, and it seems that they were burned by Ashikaga and Nitta during the Kamakura period ? It's a very interesting place, so I think it's a good idea to stop by!
