青梅街道沿いの鳥居から少し入ったら有ります。

1704年よりこの地に一本榎を御神木とし現代に至るそうですが樹木は今約百年の三代目だそうです。
社殿正面には夫婦樹木と呼ばれ夫婦円満の象徴と参拝者に慕われているそうです(小平天然記念物)
又泣き相撲でも知られているようです。

樹齢300年近い二本の榎が高く聳え、夫婦榎と言われているそう。
入り口の説明板には、諸国から鎌倉に行く人々の目印として、この地にあった一本の榎から、このお社は一本榎と呼ばれていたそうな。ということは鎌倉時代以前からここにはお社があったということ。歴史は古い。
FC東京の選手達の絵馬が専用ケースに入って願掛けされていた。
御朱印をお願いしたところ、まるで何か別のことをやっていた途中に呼び出されて、さっさと用事を終わらせようとする感じで、相当事務的に対応されてしまった。
もちろん御朱印を拝受する身としては、時間を少しでも割いていただいた訳なので文句等言う権利は無いのだが、何かちょっと引っ掛かるは引っ掛かる。

そのひとつは参道の中程で寄り添うように立つ二本のケヤキ。樹齢300年の大樹は「夫婦欅」と呼ばれて、夫婦円満の象徴として親しまれています。
二つ目は本殿の裏にある御神木の榎です。このあたり一帯は“逃げ水の里”といわれた水の便の悪い地で、この榎は「武蔵野の一本榎」と呼ばれ往来の目印や休憩場になっていたと言われています。その頃すでに樹齢300年で、今の榎は孫にあたる三代目です。
創建は小川村の開拓に着手した1704年頃、初代榎の大樹のもとに祠を建立したのが始まりで、以来320年の間、近隣の人々に崇められています。
