On the other hand it is very quiet and wonderful place to enjoy the atmosphere more close to nature. The name literally means lion's nose and named after the shape of a rock on the hill. There is also play ground facility setup for the children to enjoy their time here. It is a great place to enjoy the beauty of Azaleas and Sakura blossom in spring season; the lush of verdancy in early summer; colorful falling leaves in autumn; and leisurely walk in the winter. So it is ideal for walking or trekking or bird watching in all four seasons. There are separate trekking routes available for beginners or experienced. The total length of the complete trail is around 7km. It is also a popular spot for viewing the first sunrise on New Year's day morning. Every year "Shishigahana Park Sakura Festival" is celebrated here during Cherry blossom season.
