★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5月中旬頃には敷地内で、絶滅危惧種の「クマガイソウ」の花が見頃を迎えます。環境省のレッドデータブックで絶滅危惧種に指定されている希少植物です。白地に紅紫色の模様のある袋状の花びらを膨らませます。源平の合戦で平敦盛を討った熊谷直実が背負った母衣（ほろ）に花の形が似ていることから「クマガイソウ」と呼びます。
