★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 岐阜県岐阜市柳津町の光沢寺は、598年に聖徳太子が開創したと伝える、太子寺が起源といわれており、1235年に親鸞聖人が関東より帰京する際にこの寺に逗留され、浄土真宗になったと伝えられています。。1606年に柳津城跡のこの地に移転しています。柳津城は、文亀年間(1501～1504年)に築城されたといわれていて、1556年の長良川の戦いがあり、斎藤道三と斎藤義龍の親子の戦いでした。その戦で、柳津城主・竹腰摂津守が戦死しています。1586年の大洪水で廃城となりました。名鉄柳津駅から徒歩で8分のところにあります。
Shinshu-ji Temple in Yanaizu-cho, Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture, is said to have originated from Prince Shotoku, which is said to have been founded by Prince Shotoku in 598. Yanagizu Castle is said to have been built during the Bunki era (1501-1504), and there was the Battle of Nagara River in 1556, which was a battle between Dosan Saito and Yoshitatsu Saito. In that battle, the owner of Yanagizu Castle, Settsu Mamoru Takekoshi, was killed in action. The castle was abandoned due to the great flood of 1586. It is an 8-minute walk from Meitetsu Yanaizu Station.

柳津城の遺構は何も残っていないが、光澤寺境内が跡地とされており山門の前に説明板が設置されています。
【歴史】
築城時期は文亀年間(1501～1504)頃といわれている。城主の竹腰摂津守は斎藤氏に仕えていたが、弘治2年(1556年)斎藤道三がその子義龍と戦った長良川の戦いで戦死した。
その後叔父の成吉摂津守尚光(竹腰尚光)が城主となり斉藤氏に仕える。
当時の木曽川の本流は現在の境川で、つまり柳津は尾張国であったが斎藤氏の勢力が及んでおり斎藤氏と織田氏の戦いの最前線だった。
旧柳津村の地名には、一ヶ城、七ヶ城という地名が残っていたが、これは柳津城の出城や砦があった場所といわれている。

It is said that the castle was built around the Bunki era (1501-1504). The lord of the castle, Mamoru Takekoshi, served Mr. Saito, but in 1556, Dosan Saito died in the Battle of Nagara River, where he fought against his son Yoshitatsu.
After that, his uncle Naomitsu Settsu (Naomitsu Takekoshi) became the castellan and served Mr. Saito.
The main stream of the Kiso River at that time was the current Sakai River, that is, Yanagizu was Owari Province, but the power of Mr. Saito was at the forefront of the battle between Mr. Saito and Mr. Oda.
In the former Yanaizu village, the place names of Ichiga Castle and Nanaga Castle remained, but this is said to be the place where the castle and fort of Yanaizu Castle were located.
