★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 小菅郷校は安政4年（1857） 3月25日開館しました。
当時地方の人々はこれを御館（おかん）とか文武館と呼んでいました。
郷校の構造は1566坪の敷地に本館を建て、館外には884坪の練兵場と幅3間、長さ100間の射撃場、幅6間、長さ30間の矢場を設けました。
本館の中は、上段の間（8帖）、二の間（8帖）、三の間（6帖）、玄関（4帖）、勝手（11帖）、式場（広さ不明）に別れていました。
現在でも本館敷地の土塁（どるい）、射撃場、矢場の原形をとどめています。
小菅郷校の授業開きは、安政4年（1857）5月29日ですが、教師、生徒数、受講者、授業内容等については不明です。元治元年（1864）の天狗・諸生の争乱では、小菅郷校が里美地方天狗派の事実上の軍事拠点となったため諸生派により焼き討ちにあい焼失しました。
現在は森となっています。

Classes at Kosugago School will open on May 29, 1857, but the teachers, number of students, students, class contents, etc. are unknown. In the conflict between Tengu and Morio in the first year of the Genji era (1864), Kosugago School became a de facto military base for the Tengu faction in the Satomi region, so it was burnt down by the Tengu faction.
It is now a forest.
