いつから利用出来なくなったのかは
知りませんでした。久しぶりに出向いたら
コロナ渦で利用出来なくなっていました。
この時期、受験生の利用が多くなりますよね。
図書館に不満はありませんが、学生さんには
気の毒だなぁって思います。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅から遠く場所もへんぴです。ただここまで辺鄙な場所なら徹底的に辺鄙な場所に作って駐車場を広くしてほしい。
結構、土日は満車になる。
蔵書数は多いと思うが、東京にある図書室と比べると学術書に偏っていて、国立大学の図書館みたいな感じを受けます。それだったらマジで大学の図書館に行きます。
文芸ばかりではなく、ラノベやら学習マンガやらにもっと割いても怒られないよ。
ワンピースみたいなアニメやマンガだって小説版なら置いてもいいんじゃない？？
英語を勉強したいと思う子に英語の絵本だけではなく、英語のマンガを置いてしまいましょうよ。

コロナ禍で暫く閉館していた様ですが、４月から再開した様です。
只、子供の絵本コーナーにあったベンチ等は撤去になっていました。
本を紫外線消毒出来る装置等が設置されていました。

本も豊富…当たり前か…
図書館は、どこに本があるかわかりにくいですが、そなえつけのパソコンで検索できます。
新刊は人気があるすぐに貸し出しされます。予約できますが期待はしない方がよいかと思います。
イスも十分にあり図書館内でゆっくり読むのもあり。二階は資料室みたいになっておりブルーマップもあります。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ いつも利用している図書館で、個人的には雰囲気の良い場所です。駐車場もあります。
蔵書はとても多く、わりと最新の図書もあり、システムでの検索、予約もスムーズで重宝しています。
2022年にホームページ、検索管理システムがリニューアルし、電子図書も借りられ、とても便利になりました。越谷市民としてはとてもありがたいです。
ただ、今現在（2022年）は、コロナ禍で自習室は閉鎖中ですが、自習室は小さ目（試験会場の一室みたいな感じの部屋）です。
自習室が使えると、とてもありがたいのだけど。

お隣の吉川市の図書館 の方が立派ですな。二十年まえから進歩無し。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ はっきり言って、市民図書館として最低のレベル。例を上げるなら、図書は一階に集中しているのに 閲覧室は三階。非常に使いにくい。蔵書も乏しい。越谷の市民サービスの悪さを象徴するかのような施設です。
