元々は相馬領で、伊達氏と相馬氏が争っていた際、伊達勢の前線陣地が矢の目に作られてからは、金山城と並んで戦略的に重要な拠点でした。
The northeastern mountainous area at the foot of Kosai is the site of the Shibakoyakan. Yaegaki Shrine is enshrined in the center.
Originally in the Soma territory, when Date and Soma were fighting, it was a strategically important base along with Kanayama Castle after the front line position of the Date clan was created in the eyes of the arrow.
