Not in any way educational, just a glorified music video full of emotional wishy washy sentiments. Not worth 1500 yen. Give it a miss until they get their act together.

The worse planetarium I've ever been to, such a waste of money! The graphic design looks more like a volunteering project really, you'd never want to pay a single cent for that. The story line is pretty bad, don't expect to find out anything new if you graduated from juror high. And also don't even hope to enjoy English sound, can't hear it over Japanese.

More than a planetarium is basically a movie theater. They were showing 3 different movies at different times. If you plan to visit Solamachi for a couple of hours and while you are there see one of the movies check in advance the time they run the movie and what shows are on. You may find some of the movies are not worth the time and they only run one at the time. At show time a hostess guides you to the room. They give you some audiotranslation headphones so you can listen the movie in english. I think korean and chinese were also available. You take your sit, almost horizontal, they turn the lights off and the movie starts. Pretty standard experience. No complaints but nothing extraordinary. It'll depend on the movie you choose I guess. The staff was nice an efficient as usually in Japan. The place was really clean as well. No popcorn on the floor or bubblegum under the sit.

Disappointing... I was expecting they would use their Konica Minolta equipment, but they projected a documentary instead. Ok, it was informative but the image was blurred - even the TV set at home has better image. It is 2019 and this is Japan - where is the cutting-edge tech, where is the 4K or 8K? Also narration in Japanese is too loud, it's impossible to listen to the English channel. Background music is a cheesy Enya-like choir to make the everything look more dramatic, but totally fails.

One of the worst planitrariums I has ever been to. The show was painfully boring. Definitely not worth the price of amistion. Most of the show I watched consisted of the same image slowly moving across the screen. I would recommend doing something else with your money and time.

On my last day in Tokyo I went to see the Planetarium since it was nearby and recommended. Got there 2 hours early to make sure to get a ticket. Came back at 11:50 for the show. Stood waiting till the show time to be told The projector was broken. They offered a refund but then asked for my receipt even though I had my ticket and brochures. After digging for 10 mins they finally gave me a refund. Horrible way to end my trip.
