★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 円山応挙ゆかりの寺。応挙は穴太に生まれ、ここ金剛寺に入門したが和尚に画才を認められて京都に行き、その才能を開花させた。いわばこのお寺の住職は応挙の恩人。多数の応挙作品が保管されているみたい。しかしそれを公開して拝観料を儲けようという商売っ気は全くないようで、普通のお寺さんのまま。
