入口に鍵がかかっており、拝観したい場合は、近くにある「史跡聖寿寺館跡案内所」でその旨を伝え、拝観料を支払う必要があります。
なお、御霊屋自体の写真撮影は禁止なので注意が必要です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 寛永9年(1631)に逝去した南部利康の霊屋。江戸時代初頭の狩野派による障壁画が残されています。東に徒歩１分の場所にある史跡聖寿寺館跡案内所で拝観を受付しています。入館料高校生以上300円。中学生以下無料。
A tomb in Toshiyasu Nanbu who died in 1631. A barrier painting by the Kano school in the early Edo period is left. You can visit the historic site, Shoujujikan Ruins Information Center, which is a 1-minute walk to the east. Admission fee 300 yen for high school students and above. Free for junior high school students and younger.

2019年5月に再訪問しました。
覆堂の中に保管されていますが、案内掲示通り近くの史跡聖寿寺館跡案内所に電話をすると、係の方が来て入り口を解除してくれ、拝観が可能です。１５分くらいの説明録音を聞きながら見学できます。
拝観料は300円です。
黒漆塗りの丸柱、色あせているが極彩色の文様と、金銅の金具飾りなど
見事な装飾の霊屋です。
居城だった三戸城の方向を向いて建てられています。
門の両脇には恐らく建立時に植えられたと思われる二本の巨杉が
守るように建っています。
南部利康は父 利直の四男でした。
父の留守時は政務代行をするなど世継ぎの重直より大きな期待をされていた様ですが、24歳の若さで亡くなりました。
それを悼んだ父が建てた霊屋です。
