★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 二階が朝日村の歴史民俗資料館です。一階が美術館なので入館料が必要ですが、上だけだと無料でもイイような感じがします。
朝日村の歴史のほとんどが縄文時代のようです。
The second floor is the Asahi Village Museum of History and Folklore. The first floor is an art museum, so there is a charge for admission, but it feels good even if it's just above.
Most of the history of Asahi is like the Jomon period.

2002(平成14)年開館で、朝日村出身の彫刻家「上條俊介(1899~1980)」の志を後世に伝えるための記念館だそうです。
二階は「歴史民族資料館」になっています。
自分にとっては二階の方が興味深いですネ。
美術館より10年早い、1992(平成4)年の開館だそうです。
とにかく、空いています。
普段は入館料が掛かります。
村内の小学生の作品を展示したりすると
無料開放になります。
そんな只の際に見に行く事が多いですネ。

It is an opening for the year 2002 (Heisei 14), and it is a memorial hall to convey the aspiration of sculptor "Shangsuke Kamijima (1899-1980)" from Asahi Village to future generations.
The second floor is the "History and Ethnographic Museum".
The second floor is more interesting for me.
It seems that it is an opening in 1992 (Heisei 4), 10 years earlier than the museum.
Anyway, it's free.
Entrance fee usually applies.
When we display work of primary schoolchild in village
It will be open for free.
I often go to see them in such a case.
