★ ★ ★ ★ ★ もう60年以上前になりますが、当時世田谷線上町駅近くの実家からも小さく見えました。
その頃はお姫様が住んでいるお城だとばかり思っていました。
最高ですよね。私の心の原風景です。

夜は配水塔の上の電気が点灯していい雰囲気だったようです。
外からだと見えそうで見えない(;´∀｀)
古い配水塔はここの他にもいくつか見に行ったけど、残してほしいです。

端っこの小さいゲートからやっと姿が確認できるので、改善の余地ありですかと思いました。
桜新町駅からは徒歩10分から15分はあるので、目当てで行かれた方はちょっとガッカリすると思います・・・

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 中には入れないので外から眺めるだけです。また、外周はおおよそ住宅となっているのでなかなか全体像が見れませんが、素晴らしい建造物です。
You can't go inside, so just look at it from the outside. Also, since the outer circumference is roughly a house, it is difficult to see the whole picture, but it is a wonderful building.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東急田園都市線、桜新町駅から歩いて10分位の場所の住宅街の中に突然現れる配水塔。通称「双子の給水塔」と言われていて、更に10分位歩くと、２塔の配水塔が、見られます。中世のお城の塔を彷彿させてくれるノスタルジックな雰囲気が素敵です。が、中には入れ無くて、木々が多いので木の葉が落ちた冬見に行く方が良く見えるかもしれません。
でも、この様な歴史的な建造物はずっと遺して欲しいです。
夜には王冠みたいに電気が点灯する様です。但し、特定の日のみらしいのですが、見てみたいです。
