昔は校庭を挟んで向かい合うように中学校があった名残で、現在の校庭はかなり広い。
隣には高麗川の天神淵があり、クラスの時間で泳ぎに行ったこともあり、マラソン大会では巾着田を回る。
自然が豊かで良い環境の学校。
