神社本殿の裏側の小高い所を(亀金の岡)と呼び祭神武内宿禰命が祀られています。彼が昇天した折りの双覆あとが石に残りました。
今、目の前にある二つの石｢双覆石(そうりせき)」は霊石でその石の表面は苔色です。宇倍神社の最も神聖な領域で気の遠くなる年月を感じさせます。
