 It has become a major spot for cherry blossoms and it is quite crowded. It is recommended to go on weekdays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 桜が満開でとても綺麗でした。地元の方々が新鮮なお野菜も販売して下さっていて、お祭りが催されていました。
The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and very beautiful. The local people also sold fresh vegetables and the festival was being held.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 校庭の真ん中に立派な枝垂れ桜が咲いてます。地域のお祭りという感じでうちたての蕎麦や直売の野菜が楽しいです。散歩がてらに近くのカタクリ群生地や水芭蕉を見に行くのも楽しみです。
In the middle of the schoolyard, a splendid branch cherry blossoms. Fresh soba noodles and vegetables sold directly are fun because of the feeling of local festivals. I'm looking forward to going to see the nearby Katakiri Clusters and the waterhole on a walk.

桜ヵヾ....*゜*｡'*ヽ(○¨○)ﾉ*'｡*゜*....満開♡
母校にこんなに見事な桜が有るなんて素晴らしいですね！
今年はお祭りは中止となりましたが
平穏に戻った際にはまた足を運びたいと思います。
駐車場が個人の所有地で無料です。
所有者の方が山菜を販売しておりますのでねっ！

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 20220402の朝に訪問。学校のフェンス越しに孝子桜を観ていたら親切な近所の方が展望台まで案内して下さいました。本当にありがとうございました?その方によるとまだ三分咲きとの事でしたが見事な枝垂れ桜を観れて満足です。
学校の校庭の真ん中に鎮座し咲き誇るこの桜?地域の方々が大切に育んできた事へ感謝致します。
Visited in the morning of 20220402. When I was watching Takako Sakura through the school fence, a kind neighbor guided me to the observatory. Thank you very much ? According to that person, it was still in full bloom, but I am happy to see the wonderful weeping cherry blossoms.
This cherry blossom that sits in the middle of the school playground and is in full bloom ? Thank you for the care that the people of the area have nurtured.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 樹齢450年と言われる孝子桜。名前の由来は、病気の父親の桜が見たい願いに、孝行息子の祈りで春でもない季節に桜が咲き、父親は桜を見て亡くなる事が出来たことから孝子桜というらしい。
やわらかな流れのある枝ぶりは見事。
復活を果たした生命力を感じる見事な桜?が見られる。
城山西小学校の校門側には樹齢100年のしだれ桜や校庭には幾つかの桜?も競うように満開になり、とても美しい。
