★ ★ ★ ★ ★ なんと1960年ごろまで、この辺りは役場前にある向ヶ池でした。
役場を建設するため、大規模な埋め立てが行われ、池は半分くらいの大きさに縮小されました。そりゃそうですよね、田んぼを１つずつ買収なんてしてたらきりがないですから。
今でこそ住宅がたくさん建ってますが、1960年ごろは見渡す限り田んぼで、池を埋め立てていろいろな建物が建築されていき、人口も増えていったようです。
そのような播磨町の歴史を象徴する向ヶ池の名前が残っている児童公園なんです。
ちなみに遊具は滑り台とブランコ４基、動物型の馬のような乗り物の３種類しかありませんので、他に子どもがいると何にもできません。
児童公園という名前を付けるのであれば、せめて鉄棒やシーソーなどの遊具を設置するべきでしょうね。自治会が管理している開発地のちっちゃい公園の方がよっぽど遊具の種類が多いです。
しかし桜の木や、季節折々の花も咲いており、庭園的な要素が強く、散歩コースにはいいと思います。

By the way, there are only three types of playground equipment, a slide, four swings, and an animal-shaped horse-like vehicle, so if you have other children, you can't do anything.
If you name it a children's park, you should at least install playground equipment such as horizontal bars and seesaws. There are more types of playground equipment in the small parks in the development area managed by the residents' association.
However, cherry blossom trees and seasonal flowers are also in bloom, and it has a strong garden-like element, so I think it is good for a walking course.
