市電時代は “烏丸車庫” (←ｱｸｾﾝﾄ独特) でした。今でもこの辺りを “車庫の辺” と呼んでる人がたまにいます。
かつては大垣書店の本店(というかｺｺしかなかった)やタカラブネや10円ｺﾋﾟｰのあるﾚｺｰﾄﾞ店や24時間のﾐｽﾄﾞやﾏｸﾄﾞや古切手の充実した玩具店等があって賑わっていましたね)
