H	Hiroshi Hayakawa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 通常、駅周辺とは線路を挟んだ両側がそれなりに栄えるもんだけど、ここ北府中駅はその片面を東芝さんの事業所が占め、またその反面近くには府中刑務所の広大な敷地。栄えそうな要素もなく府中街道東側の向こうは住宅地が広がっている。ま、東芝さん御用達の駅として社員さん、業者さんの乗降がそれなりに見込めるから駅として成立できるんだろうけど。東芝青梅事業所（今や既に更地）の最寄駅だった青梅線小作駅の衰退ぶりは、目を覆いたくなるほどだからねぇ。 Normally, both sides of the railway line prosper from the area around the station, but here at Kita-Fuchu Station, Toshiba's office occupies one side, and on the other hand, the vast site of Fuchu Prison is nearby.
