当出張所は、近年大型量販店等の店舗進出が目覚しく、急速に都市化が進行する岡山市西部地区の新たな防災拠点として、岡山市北区下中野1223－6に整備され、消防・救急業務に対応できる諸施設を擁し、最大4台までの車両が格納できる車庫と、庁舎屋上には太陽パネルによる電力供給施設を配備すると共に、女性職員が当直可能な生活スペースを確保した出張所施設です。
 On April 1, 2012, in order to respond to the firefighting and emergency situation in the western part of the city center city area, the "now branch office", which is the 14th in Okayama City Fire Bureau, has been put into operation.
The branch office has been established in the northern part of Okayama City, Kitanaka-ku Shimononakano 1223-6, as a new disaster prevention base for the western area of Okayama City where rapid urbanization proceeds rapidly, with the establishment of stores such as large-scale mass retailers in recent years.
