The festival which is considered one of the most dangerous in the world is divided in three parts where the locals show their bravery by riding huge logs from the mountains all the way to Suwa Taisha. Ki-otoshi park is the venue for the first part of the festival where the locals ride their logs down a steep hill. The view from the top of the hill is quite nice and there is a log just like the ones used in the festival on display.
