大	大奈 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ とても見事な枯山水の庭園でした。門のところで地元の方でしょうか、世間話をされていて、近くに保育園があるのか子供たちの可愛い声が聞こえました。他に見学者はおらず、ゆっくり見てまわることができてよかったですが地元の方と子供たちの声がなかったら静か過ぎて寂しかったと思います。 It was a very beautiful garden of dry mountain water. 莫	莫妄想 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 金山明昶禅師により応永年間(15世紀はじめ)に創建されたがその後衰微し、江戸時代初頭にあの有名な沢庵宗彭禅師により復興された。そのためか山門まえには沢庵禅師の歌碑がある。その山門は豊岡市指定文化財。本堂まえの石庭は見事なもので一見の価値あり。 It was founded by Akira Kanayama Zen Master in the Oei era (early 15th century), but then declined and was reconstructed by the famous Sawaan Soho Zen Master at the beginning of the Edo period. 小	小林慶太 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 「豊岡市：極楽寺」 2017年のバイクツーリングで立ち寄りました。温泉街の中にしっかりと息づいています。場所は城崎温泉郷の西南の隅に位置しています。城崎ロープウェイの手前の奥まった一角にあり、自然に囲まれた静かな仏教寺院です。境内の枯山水の石庭「清閑庭」や、山門・水墨画の襖絵などは見ごたえがあります。「極楽寺」の本尊は阿弥陀如来。応永（1394年～1427年）の頃に、金山明昶（きんざんみょうしょう）と呼ばれる禅師が創設したと伝えられています。極楽寺の裏の墓地を通り過ぎると、涼しい岩かげから清水が湧き出ています。この清水が「独鈷水」と呼ばれている名水です。独鈷とは、仏さまが手にしている金属製の仏具ですが、なぜこの清水の名前が「独鈷水」なのでしょうか？ 1300年ほど前、道智上人が病気の人々を救うため、一千日の間、八曼陀羅経（はちまんだらきょう）というお経を唱え続けた末、満願し湧き出した霊湯が”まんだら湯”。これが城崎温泉のはじまりとされています。道智上人が、この”行”を続けていたときに手にされていたのが独鈷で、この独鈷で壁をつついて得られた清水なので「独鈷水」と呼ばれるようになりました。無病長寿の水と言われています。また、「極楽寺」では予約をすれば、住職の説教と座禅の体験も可能。座禅の組み方から教えてくれるので気軽に参加できます。座禅が終わるとお抹茶と和菓子が頂けます。 "Toyooka City: Gokurakuji" I stopped by for 2017 bike touring.
