S	Sarah Peterson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very intimate hostel. With 6 beds in the entire area. 4 stars not for facilities-but for now nice and welcoming the owner was. She made us want to start here another night! It felt very homey feel to it.

Climb the stairs at the hill to have a nice view on the castle. Try a kimono at your hostel. Sake tasting at a local bar...I love the city!. Negative: Nothing! Stay longer in Himeji. A	Arnaud Dupuis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice and cozy place at walking distance from the Himeji castle. The owner is amazingly nice and speaks basic English. Of course speaking few words of Japanese is always better to engage with people there. A great place for families at a very decent price.

Had to delay our arrival late because room was not ready - we arrived 8pm- hostess made us tiny snack - sitting in tiny area- larger rooms were occupied by musicians smoking cigarets till after 9pm. Heater in room kept it cozy in our bunk bed, nice shower , no breakfast- a bit expensive for hostel like place $70.above kimono shop in shopping center- between station and castle.

The room has a bunk bed that's really comfortable - after sleeping in several places waking up with an achy back and neck, sleeping here was such a relief! Good location with a lot of restaurants and shopping. The room was clean and in a safe location.
E	Erin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: Our family of 5 very much enjoyed our stay - rooms were cosy and comfortable, bathrooms clean and hosts were super friendly and generous. Location is excellent, half way between the train station and the castle and in a shopping arcade, which unfortunately was closed during our stay due to the New Years holidays. Our kids enjoyed talking to Hikaru and loved the decor.. Negative: Nothing.

Of my brief time spent in Japan taking in the beautiful cherry blossom-laden sights of more than a dozen cities from Nagasaki to Sapporo; from Miyajima island to Matsumae and Biei; spending time meeting this family after a day seeing the local sights was in fact one of the absolute highlights of my trip. While here I also chanced upon a nearby ramen restaurant called Koba&more for an idiosyncratic, yet absolutely delicious milk ramen. Highly recommend.
B	BanBan Chi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful guest house. Perfect for a family of 4. There are two rooms so technically a family of 6 can stay with no problems. The owner is a delightful and very friendly lady who owns the kimono shop under the guest house. She played with our 10 year old and talked at length with my wife and I. Her English is very good but my wife is Japanese so there was no problem communicating. The house has lots of character and is a great example of early 20th century Japanese merchant home. The location is perfect, 8 minutes from the station, 5 minutes from the castle main gate and 4 minutes from a very busy bus stop. Supermarket at the end of the street. Johson Burgers is right around the corner for a hearty lunch. I have no complaints at all and will definitely return in September when we can get time off in a non rainy weekend.
