となりの菊田神社の由緒から、元々ここが入江で、その名残がこの池なのでは？って思ってます。
As the name suggests, there are many water birds.
From the history of the neighboring Kikuta Shrine, this is originally a cove and the remnant is this pond? I think.

最近来てるかは分かりませんが、昔は白鳥も来てた記憶があります。

菊田神社の喫煙所裏にあります。iPhoneのカメラでは捉えられませんが、水鳥がたくさんいました。家内の付き合いで菊田神社さんにはよく御朱印をいただきにきますので、次回は双眼鏡と図鑑を持って来たいと思います。
写真だけだと静寂な空間に見えるかも知れませんが、奥にJRが走ってますので、静寂とは程遠いです。

It is behind the smoking area of Kikuta Shrine. There were a lot of water birds that could not be captured by the iPhone camera. Kikuta Shrine often comes with a red stamp because of my family relationship, so I would like to bring binoculars and a picture book next time.
It may seem like a quiet space with just a picture, but it is far from silence because JR runs behind it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 菊田神社の隣にある大きめの池がある公園です。柵があり水辺には近寄れませんが、そのおかげかたくさんの水鳥がいます。
It is a park with a large pond next to Kikuta Shrine. There is a fence and you can't get close to the water, but thanks to that, there are many waterfowl.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ すぐ隣は菊田神社です。池はそれほど大きくはありませんが、カモが泳いでいました。池の回りは危険防止のフェンスで囲まれています。ベンチがいくつか設置してあります。横を総武線が通っているため、電車が走るといきなり騒々しくなります(^-^;
Right next door is Kikuta Shrine. The pond wasn't that big, but ducks were swimming. The pond is surrounded by a danger prevention fence. There are several benches. Since the Sobu Line runs beside it, it suddenly becomes noisy when the train runs (^-^;

I will post a photo of Kikutamizudori Park. This is also like a sanctuary. I think it is a very valuable natural environment. I was impressed by the vitality of the fallen trees in the pond and the cuteness of the wild birds. After visiting Kikuta Shrine, I will take a walk in the park and go home.
