★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reservation time at 10:30. Have to wait until 12:30 . This happens all 5 times. What is the function of the reservation time then??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a big hospital with many departments. I went there after being stung by a wasp on the train. The service is not bad but the place is just incredibly busy and waiting times are very long. In total well over 2 hours for me in the dermatology wing. The hospital charges a 3,000 + yens for first visit and you get an ID card for future visits.
For minor issues (like mine), I would have been better off visiting a smaller clinic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a foreginer in Japan who speaks very little Japanese, it can be very hard to find health services who are actually willing to undertand and help patients with care. I have had past experiences where I was left untreated simply because I could not speak Japanese with the doctor. Finding Keiyu Hospital helped me so much. The doctors helped me in every way possible to make me feel comfortable. They provided me with my own languages translations, English translators, and they spoke again and again with simple Japanese when we had difficulty understanding. The doctors are the most nicest and the most polite. The same goes for the nurses and all staff. I had a three week stay and the nurses did as much as possible to help me when I needed assistance. They were very friendly and always showed up when I needed help. Regarding the hygene of the hospital, the pyjamas, bed sheets, the bathrooms and every place was always clean and sterilized.
There is a system for all patients and their documents, all appointments are taken on time without or with very little delay.
I thank every staff that put so much effort in to my surgery and my recovery. I highly recommend this hospital if you’re looking for good service and quality treatment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been living in Japan for 12 years and this hospital is one of the best hospitals I've been to. I been to many departments of this hospital, like the dermatology, neurology, orthopedic department, and the blood testing department. All of the doctors, nurses, and the staffs are the very polite, nice and they listen to your problems even though you are a foreigner. The hospital is very clean, and the service is very nice. My mom has been hospitalized in this hospital and the nurse and doctors learned several Turkish sentences to communicate with my mom. The rooms, food, beds, and the clothes were all very clean. In general the hospital is very clean and the service is very high quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So this hospital has provided decent care for both my grandparents and in patient service has been quite satisfactory over the past two years, however our most recent visit revealed some fairly scary deficiencies in the lobby service. It appeared that someone threw up on a chair in the waiting area of the outpatient cashier section downstairs, and despite notifying the staff at the counter nobody came to clean and disinfect the area in the 15 minutes we were there. If this was contaminated with influenza that would be borderline malpractice... and this is peak season. We moved to the other side of the room, but nobody should have to be exposed to that, least of all all the elderly and infants that have to come here. They clearly knew it was an issue because after being notified they placed a sign on the adjoining chair not to sit, but anybody with working eyesight would be able to tell that at a glance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Keiyu Hospital is the best hospital in Yokohama. While it was difficult to get treatment there for foreigners a decade ago as the staff would not be helpful, they have made a tremendous efforts over the recent years to help and treat foreigners. Some doctors are almost bilingual and even the ones who are not are always very helpful and smiling. The hospital is very clean and you will be well taken care of if you need a surgery. I would not hesitate to go back to Keiyu if I have another major problem. They also have a medical check up service (ningendoku in Japanese) which unfortunately is not in English. I hope one day they make it in English to attract even more foreigners.
