川の両側に立派な桜の木が植えられていて、川に覆い被さるように桜が咲き誇ります。
ただ、樹齢が長いので、一部枯れたりしているものがあります。いつかはこの風景を見れなくなるのかなと思うと残念です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昔は天井川で人も余り通らない様な川だったけれど、整備されてお散歩やウォーキングをされている方が沢山おられます。
西神谷公園から興戸までよく歩きます。
自転車がたまに通るけど、車の心配はしなくてよいし、排気ガスを吸う事もなく安心して歩けます。
水辺の散策路になっています。
春には、梅、桜、雪柳、夏は紫陽花、金糸梅、くちなしの花、秋はコスモス、白い曼珠沙華、冬は山茶花など色々な花が咲いて楽しみです。
