竹	竹内勝利 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 門の跡や曲輪の名所の看板はあるが、イマイチ現在地が把握しづらい。高崎市の箕輪城跡みたいな分かりやすい看板やその場所にまつわる図等があると、初めて来た人でも少しは大胡城がかつてどれ位の規模でどんな感じの城で、自分はその城のどの位置でどの向きに立っているのかがイメージ出来る。 There are signs of gates and famous places of Kuruwa, but it is difficult to grasp the current location. If there is an easy-to-understand signboard like the Minowa Castle ruins in Takasaki City and a diagram related to the place, even if you are a first-time visitor, what kind of castle was Ogo Castle once, and what position of that castle you are? You can imagine which direction you are standing in.
U	Utsugi Kiyoshi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 大胡駅から歩いて15分ほど。本丸跡の周囲を囲む高い土塁、空堀が素晴らしかったです。 About 15 minutes walk from Ogo station. The high earthworks surrounding the remains of Honmaru and the empty moat were wonderful.
M	Mark Deadman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I trekked about 10km from Maebashi to get to Oogo castle but it was actually well worth it. Only the embankments and mounds remain, there is a small kura (storehouse) in the grounds and some monoliths. However, it is fascinating to see how the castle would have commanded a great view of the area, linking to Maebashi to the south-west and overlooking the base of Akagi. Also, it is still quite a significant hill top, so you get a good impression of how large it would have been in medieval Japan. Overall, not much to see but use your imagination and it's pretty interesting!
