桐内沢沿いの狭い舗装道路を上流に向かい、桐内第６号橋を渡るとダートになります。すぐ右側に小さな祠があり、その先の右へ伸びる廃道を歩くとほどなく見えます。
この滝の下流の桐内第６号橋付近は渓流瀑になっていますが、基盤の岩に白い石英か長石らしき鉱脈が走り、もしかしてと思い調べてみたら、かつては砂金の産地だったという伝承があるようです。
