★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 米山登山口ここから野田コース、米山登山のコースで1番歩行距離が長いが谷根コースより楽だと思う。累積標高差がこちらの方が少ない。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 全くもってメジャー感のない県道の峠だが、片峠となっており、柏崎方の景色は大変良い。一面の水田と集落、里の風景。
一方で柿崎方は山の中の水田となっている。
