★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Karuizawa Taliesin is a leasure park which has Lake Shiozawa, museum, restaurant, shops and rose garden. Here in Taliesen you can enjoy boating in the lake and the nature. They have great foods and drinks in the restaurant and also have playground for children. Have a refreshing holiday in Karuizawa for sure!
You can get here by taxi from Karuizawa Station (15 mins)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ About 40 minutes drive from the main station. Stroll around the lake was nice. They served wagyu burger that had no frills whatsoever but showcased how good hokkaido beef is. Soft serve ice cream was a nice touch. You can feed the kois at the lakeside or can ride the pedal-powered duck-shaped boat

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very scenic, with beautiful flowers and water features. It is very well kept with some quirky activities.You would spend at least half a day enjoying the scenery and play areas. It loses a star as I believe the entry, parking, food are over-priced and then having to pay extra for everything inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was beautiful. The entry fee was a bit expensive, but if you plan on spending a half day here, it is worth it.
They were doing a Halloween event while I was there, and had punched some fallen leaves with Halloween patterns and scattered them around the little peninsula. Children and parents had a lot of fun searching, and the children had an advantage , being closer to the ground. The reward for collecting them was Halloween candy.
There were ducks everywhere, and they were quite friendly as they can be fed duck food (sold for 100yen). I will definitely come again, especially in the summer when the rose garden would be in blossom.
