「公園の西側には、柱の模型を再現していて、この地にあった弥生時代の大型建物の大きさを感じることができます。一番太い柱は、直径83cmもあったとされています。また、小学校等の学習活動として、大型建物に使われる大きな柱を実際に立ててみることができる柱穴が設けられています。竪穴住居の復元も予定されています。」
