★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is legit. Plenty of seating so waits are never to long at busy times. Food is well priced, service is great. Facility is always clean. Definitely a great spot to eat when with a group of 3-4 friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been a long time customer of Hamazushi, preferring it to this restaurant in the past, but Covid has changed everything. My previous issues with Kappa Sushi were a poorly positioned electronic order pad which really strained your neck to see what was available and push the button. The order pads are now detachable. The Shinkansen delivery system is now better than the alert mode that something is coming at Hamazushi. (It can be tricky to pick up three items as they move by)
it is also pretty clear that the sushi is being made to order at Kappa Sushi, and not made ahead and refrigerated for long periods like it seems to be at Hamazushi. In short Kappa Sushi has gotten better, and Hamazushi has declined.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are some interesting things to try here but the quality is a little lower than Hamazushi, though the price is a bit higher. Not a bad restaurant at all, just not great. The train that delivers food to the table is super fun.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kid friendly meals. The sushi is delicious, try the squid tempura, or the oyster butter roll. The staff is very responsive and great. We were missing a roll and in less than two minutes we had it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorite sushi places. Lots of choices and great ambience with the bullet train delivering your food to your table. Cheap but great quality! Also I am gluten intolerant so I can eat here and just order the raw fish and bring my own gluten free soy sauce. The tablet for ordering is also in English and very straightforward to navigate.
