１日午前４時55分ごろ、川崎市川崎区浮島の花王川崎工場で、横浜市港北区錦が丘、派遣社員の男性（31）の作業着が機械に巻き込まれた。男性は首や胸を圧迫され、搬送先の病院で死亡した。川崎臨港署が事故原因を調べている。
同署によると、男性は出荷用の箱を組み立てるラインでメンテナンス中に、襟の部分が機械に巻き込まれたという。

At around 4:55 am on the 1st, at the Kao Kawasaki factory on Ukishima, Kawasaki-ku, Kawasaki-shi, work clothes of a man (31), a temporary employee of Kohoku-ku, Yokohama, were caught in the machine. He was pressed at his neck and chest and died at the hospital he was transferred to. The Kawasaki Station is investigating the cause of the accident.
According to the police, men were caught in the machine during maintenance on a line that assembles shipping boxes.
