★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 観音寺は天台宗の古刹で、享保8年（1723）の建築である。その中に平面が「凸」字形をなし4室から成る見事な厨子がある。厨子には前仏、その奥に密仏、その左右に脇仏と各々観音像を納める。前仏の部分は入母屋造、こけら葺で、軒唐破風をつける。懸魚・獅子頭・龍身及び波形の尾垂木などきわめて繊細で、黒漆を主調とし、朱色、金色など取交ぜた彩色で、まことに華麗である。京都の仏師の作という。
Kanonji is an ancient temple of the Tendai sect and was built in 1723. Among them is a splendid kitchen consisting of four chambers with a "convex" plane. In the kitchen, the front Buddha, the secret Buddha in the back, and the side Buddhas on the left and right are the Kannon statues. The former Buddha part is made of Irimoya-zukuri and thatched roof, and has an eaves Karahafu. The hanging fish, lion head, dragon body, and corrugated tail rafters are extremely delicate, and the main tone is black lacquer, with a mixture of vermilion and gold, which is truly splendid. It is said to be the work of a Buddhist priest in Kyoto.
