★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I absolutely love karinto manju and this place did not disappoint. I try to find spots all over Tokyo and I’m glad I found this one. The sweet bean paste is my favorite, and the slightly crunchy outside makes this one delicious treat. I highly recommend trying it if you haven’t, or if you’re a connoisseur like me, it’s worth a stop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found this place by accident. Was riding my bike through Akihabara and I saw these small sweets displayed in front of the shop. I immediately stopped, asked what they were (friend dough with a filling inside, such as a bean paste), and tried it. Absolutely amazing, it's called a Karinto Manju.
I got the kabocha (pumpkin) and cream flavour. You need to eat it right away when it's hot and crunchy, though. If not, it begins to taste a bit soggy and it loses its crunch. My favorite sweet shop in Tokyo!
