Btsutyuu Sugiyama Castle Ruins Another name is Yōgaiyama Castle, and the trace of the main castle of Yamashiro (Kuruwa) remains on the summit of'Satoyama, Sugiyama, where the gods live. The castle was built by Kosaka Etchu Mamoru during the Kenmu period (1334-1336) during the Muromachi period. After that, during the Warring States period, the castle owner was the residence of Mori Motonari's chief vassal, Kii Mori Mutsumi Kawada, and Motonari's vassal, Soemon Kosaka. Tsutomu built Kamoyama Castle as the main castle and branch castles around it, with Nishichiyama Castle in the northeast and Sugiyama Castle in the northwest. In February of the 2nd year of Genki (1571), the Ukita Naoie was a fort that moved and attacked more than 6000 soldiers of the Amako Reconstruction Army. Tsutomu, accompanied by 150 samurai and 2,000 soldiers, challenged a desperate battle, but was surrounded by the Amako Reconstruction Army and was destroyed and fled to Koyama Castle in Yamate Nishi-gun Village (currently Yamate, Soja City).
