★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 新潟駅と長岡駅の丁度中間駅になります。CoCoLo新潟CoCoLo長岡どちらのほうへ、休日買い物客が流れるか興味ある駅ですね。京都モデルにした街並みだが北陸新幹線開業急行きたぐに廃止で行けなくなったの残念。
It will be just an intermediate station between Niigata Station and Nagaoka Station. CoCoLo Niigata CoCoLo Nagaoka It's a station I'm interested in to see which holiday shoppers will flow. The cityscape was modeled after the Kyoto model, but the Hokuriku Shinkansen was opened.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 旅行の帰りに紅葉狩りのため経由しましたが、駅にも周辺施設にもコインロッカーがなく、大きな荷物を持っての移動となり大変不便でした。
I went through to hunt for autumn leaves on the way back from the trip, but there were no coin lockers at the station or surrounding facilities, so it was very inconvenient to move with large luggage.

無人駅ではありません。
駅前通りの商店街は他の所に比べれば充実してます。
土曜日・日曜日に営業している飲食店も意外に多い。
It is a super compact station
Not an unmanned station.
The shopping street on the street in front of the station is richer than other places.
Surprisingly many restaurants are open on Saturdays and Sundays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅自体は、特別何かあるわけでなく近くに加茂土産物センター・インフォメーションセンターがあります。レンタサイクルは近場の自転車屋でもない模様。紅葉シーズンは二日だけ新潟→只見駅まで直通で止まる駅。バスが充実しているのが良い。
There is nothing special about the station itself, and there is the Kamomiyagemono Center Information Center nearby. It seems that the rental cycle is not a nearby bicycle shop. A station that stops directly from Niigata to Tadami Station for only two days during the autumn leaves season. It is good that the bus is substantial.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昭和臭漂う、少しくたびれた感がある駅ですが、商店街が直結している事と、駅前が駐車場と公園も兼ねていて、利用頻度は高いですね。
The station has a Showa era and feels a little tired, but it is frequently used because it is directly connected to the shopping district and the station square doubles as a parking lot and a park.
