★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 秋田市上新城小又にある臨済宗妙心寺派の寺院です。創建は安土桃山時代（1576～1600）で、元は天台宗寺院だったと伝えられます。御本尊は聖観世音菩薩、秋田三十三観音霊場第18番札所です。境内はよく整備されており、特に手入れされた石庭は秋田ではなかなかお目にかかれないのでは。
It is a temple of the Rinzai sect Myosinji school located in Komashinjo Komata, Akita city. It is said to have been built during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1576-1600) and was originally a Tendai sect temple. Gohonson is the 18th bill of St. Kannon Bodhisattva, the Sanju Kannon Sacred Ground of Akita. The grounds are well-maintained, and the especially well-maintained rock gardens are hard to find in Akita.
